Process

Parents and prospective students are invited to visit St. Jude School in order to meet the teachers and the principal either at one of our scheduled Open Houses or individually by appointment.

Group visits and Open Houses are planned during Catholic Schools’ Week and throughout the year on a “Take-A-Look-Tuesday.” These are scheduled throughout the year and advertised on our web site.

Prekindergarten students and parents will meet the teacher and can observe the prekindergarten classroom when in session.

Parents will be asked to meet with the principal, fill in a registration form and bring the child’s birth certificate, baptismal certificate (if Catholic) and a completed health history. Prekindergarten children must be at least 4 years old.

Kindergarten students and parents will meet the teacher and can observe the kindergarten classroom when in session. Parents will be asked to meet with the principal, fill in a registration form and bring the child’s birth certificate, baptismal certificate (if Catholic) and a completed health history. Kindergarten children must be at least 5 years old by January 1st of the year of enrollment.

A kindergarten readiness assessment will be administered by the teacher and the school nurse. Once scored, the school will contact the parents to discuss placement in kindergarten or prekindergarten.

Students in Grades 1-7 should bring a copy of their most current report card when they meet with the principal. A shadow day will be scheduled so that the families and the school can learn more about each other. If there is room in the class then admission forms will be provided.

All families will need to sign an enrollment contract, enroll in SMART Tuition Management program, and pay a non-refundable application fee. This application fee is credited toward tuition if the student enrolls.
