St. Jude School, a PreK through Grade Eight Catholic School, provides a quality education in an environment based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. We foster a partnership with educators and families that supports the students’ abilities to be life-long learners and responsible citizens.

We are a community of faith and learning where dedicated teachers and caring parents work together to provide a quality education in the Roman Catholic tradition. We are committed to fostering academic excellence as well as guiding our students to serve God and others.

St Jude School is fully accredited by the State of Connecticut and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Our program includes Religion, Reading and Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Music, Physical Education, Art, Computer Science, and Spanish (grades PK – 8).

Our extracurricular activities include tennis, chess, yearbook, Literature Club, Student Council, and ArtSmart. We continue to have a superb athletic program (basketball and softball) with volunteer coaches dedicated to teaching skills and developing sportsmanship in our athletes.

Our school has earned qualifying scores four times for the U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School Award. This award demonstrates high student achievement in Reading and Mathematics which places St. Jude’s in the top 10-15% of the schools across the country.  In 2011 our reading scores were a full 10 percentage points above the qualifying score!  The students attending our school consistently score high on standardized tests and continue to thrive in high school and college.

We have a dedicated, loving, caring, and supportive team of certified teachers who assist our students in maximizing their potential. Our faculty also includes a reading specialist, classroom aides, and a nurse five days a week.  Our teachers are always willing to go that extra mile for our students.

I encourage you to visit St. Jude School to see for yourself what educational excellence in a faith filled environment looks like. St. Jude is truly a fun place to learn and a fun place to work. To schedule a visit or for additional information, please call 203-261-3619 or email me at ksniffin@diobpt.org.

May God bless you and your families!

Sincerely in Christ,

Mrs. Katherin M. Sniffin
